About Friendship Community Church

Friendship Community Church exists to help you build the loving relationships that make life meaningful and complete. Here the bonds of friendship overcome the differences that keep us apart. People from diverse backgrounds who come into a friendship with Jesus Christ support each other in learning to live a new kind of life. A love-focused life. You’ll find the excitement of love-focused relationships in the youth groups, the children’s ministry, and many adult small groups and activities. You’ll find all ages, singles, couples, and seniors becoming family to one another, caring for each other’s needs.

No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, we want to be friends with you as you take the next step. Come home to an accepting family where you can get involved at a pace that is comfortable to you. We’ve been praying for you already and can’t wait to meet you.

Our Statement of Faith

We at Friendship Community Church desire to make people feel welcome and cared for, just as Jesus did. We want to accept each person as he is, without being judgmental or without trying to fit him into our mold. We hope you experience a warm welcome here.

We believe the Bible is God’s infallible word, written by men who were divinely and uniquely inspired (II Peter 1:20-21) and that it is our supreme authority in all matters of history, faith and practice. We affirm our belief in the literal inspiration of all 66 books of the Bible (II Timothy 3:16).

We believe in God the Father, creator of heaven and earth, perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom and measureless in power. We rejoice that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer (I John 5:14-15), and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

We believe in Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and man, who was born of a virgin, sinless in His life, and died for the sins of the whole world (I John 2:2). We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension to Heaven and His personal, visible return to the world.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person, equal with the Father and the Son; that He indwells every true child of God, teaching Him to do God’s will (John 14:16-17, 26).

We believe that all men are sinners, but “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16). We believe, therefore, that those who accept Christ as Savior shall be forever in God’s presence.

We believe that the local church should be composed of believing Christians who voluntarily unite together to learn about the Bible, to gain strength from one another and to pray for needs (Acts 2:41-42).
